Senior Public Relations Officer

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT 

• Degree in a related field with minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant field. (or)
• Diploma in a related field with minimum 3 year of experience in a relevant field. (or)
• O’level or equivalent qualification with minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant field.

OVERALL SCOPE

Responsible for handling all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and PR activities to enhance the corporation’s public image.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Assist in preparing press releases to ensure that messages are supportive and consistent with marketing strategies.
• Assist in executing PR strategies, events, press conferences, and campaigns.
• Contribute to research to support PR planning.
• Distribute information regarding existing PR campaigns and new promotional opportunities.
• Assist in identifying and developing internal and external strategies for communications, advocacy & outreach, while focusing on achievements.
• Assist in content creation for newsletters, articles, and advertorials.
• Develop and maintain a network of contacts within the local and international media, coordinate with departments for op-eds, press releases, interviews, TV and radio appearances.
• Assist in responding to media inquiries and setting interviews accordingly.
• Collaborate with managers to identify trends and evaluate advertising to determine whether it aligns with the organization’s public relations efforts.
• Assist in monitoring and tracking all media coverage regarding the corporation.

• Aptitude in presentation and public speaking.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Package.
• Should be an effective communicator, both verbally and through writing skills.
• Should be able to work flexible hours.
• Should be able to prioritize tasks and manage one's own time effectively.
