Quantity Surveyor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT 

• Degree in a relevant field with minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Experience will be considered only upon submission of an official reference letter explicitly stating the duration of employment.

OVERALL SCOPE

Establish the cost of installation, materials and workmanships while planning the estimate beneficial for both company and contractor for projects handled by the company.

SCOPE OF WORK 

• Manage and control project costs across new construction, repair, and maintenance projects, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money
• Prepare, review, and report on contractual claims including extensions of time and variations
• Provide contractual advice relating to claims, variations, and dispute matters
• Preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantities
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
• Provide advice on procurement strategies and contract packaging options
• Evaluate completed works and prepare interim and final payment certificates
• Ensure awareness and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

• Strong familiarity with project management software and technical know-how of projects.
• Should be an effective communicator verbally as well as through writing.
• Should be able work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
