Draftsman

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT 

• Diploma in relevant field.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in relevant fields.
• Experience will be considered only upon submission of an official reference letter explicitly stating the duration of employment.

OVERALL SCOPE

Responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and plans using CAD software based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.

SCOPE OF WORK 

• Analyzing building specifications, codes, guidelines and physical site.
• Prepare registration drawings based on the Strata Portal requirements and as-built drawings.
• Manage the Strata Portal under guidance of the Section Head.
• Review modification drawings in respect to best practice construction standards/methodologies.
• Prepare technical drawings based on Architects’ and Engineers’ sketches.
• Using CAD software to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building guidelines and other construction details.
• Printing and compiling the full drawing sets/schematics for use by Architects, Engineers and Maintenance staff.
• Visiting construction sites and existing buildings to perform measurements and calculate dimensions as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure drawing adherence to building specifications and industry guidelines/regulations.

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

• Fluent in CAD software like AutoCAD/Revit and 3D rendering and presentation software.
• Fluent in written & spoken English.
• Able to interpret and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes and structural analysis.
• Ability to apply fundamentals of sketching and design.
• Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
• Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

SALARY PACKAGE

Gross Salary of MVR 17,000.00 to 23,500.00 based on educational qualification and experience.
