Assistant Architect

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT

• Degree in relevant field.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in a relevant field.

OVERALL SCOPE

Responsible for preparing unit registration drawings of HDC properties based on approved or as-built plans, supporting the management of the Strata Portal, and assisting in the review and approval of property modification guidelines and designs.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Ensure all drawings comply with Strata Portal requirements and relevant regulatory standards.
• Assist the supervisor in managing and maintaining the Strata Portal, ensuring all drawings comply with relevant requirements and regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical/detailed drawings (drafting) for designs developed by other teams within the department.
• Translate sketches and concepts from Architects and Engineers (Structural and MEP) into accurate technical drawings.
• Review modification drawings to ensure compliance with best practices in construction standards and methodologies.
• Analyze building specifications, codes, guidelines, and site conditions to ensure drawings are in full compliance.
• Use CAD software’s to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building guidelines and other construction details.
• Print, compile, and archive complete drawing sets and schematics for use by Architects, Engineers, and Maintenance personnel.
• Conduct site visits to construction sites and existing buildings to perform necessary measurements and verify dimensions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure design accuracy and adherence to HDC’s building specifications and industry regulations.

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

• Fluent in CAD software’s like AutoCAD/Revit and 3D rendering and presentation software’s.       
• Able to interpret and understand engineering drawings and specifications and architectural plans, concepts and methodologies.               
• Able to interpret maps, site and building plans and specifications, graphs and statistical data.
• In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes and structural analysis.
• Ability to apply fundamentals of sketching and design.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.       
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.               
• Fluent in written & spoken English.
