Telecommunication Engineer

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT 

• Degree in relevant field with minimum 1 year experience in a related field (or)
• O’Level with minimum 5 years’ experience in a related field

OVERALL SCOPE

Responsible for planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and repairing all current and future network infrastructures under the guidance of supervisor.

SCOPE OF WORK 

• Supervise, and offer technical guidance on telecommunication systems management.
• Oversee and coordinate telecommunication activities.
• Identify and initiate problem resolution issues associated with Core and Access equipment.
• Manage and resolve customer faults and issues efficiently.
• Design and implement LoraWAN and other platforms.
• Optimize infrastructure configuration to ensure efficient, reliable and consistent performance.
• Lead the second level escalations to customer/client faults.
• Perform regular checks on the network hardware and software.
• Provide and support system administration tasks related to IOT platforms, including smart parking, CCTV deployments etc.

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

• In-depth knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN and wireless networking technologies. 
• Knowledge on Layer2 and layer3 networks.
• Ability to design both high-level and low-level network design for GPON or FTTH, Datacenter.
• Knowledge of IP subnetting, routing and switching, VLAN creation/management, IP address management
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of executing calmly against tough deadlines.
• Knowledge of Passive Optical Network and other Telecommunication equipment.
• Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
• Should be familiar with Microsoft office package and any other relevant software.
