Mechanic

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT 

• Diploma in a relevant field with 3 years of experience (OR)
• Certified Automobile mechanic qualification with minimum 5 year’s work experience in diesel, petrol and hydraulic vehicle maintenance.

OVERALL SCOPE

Undertake repair and maintenance of Vehicles of the Corporation.

SCOPE OF WORK 

• Maintain vehicles, which include the company’s fleet of light and heavy vehicles. 
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups
• Perform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper functioning
• Identify mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
• Examine critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions and other mechanical parts.
• Plans and establishes timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Test drives vehicle to confirm safe and proper operation.
• Maintain records in accordance to the work conducted.
• Conduct the relevant tests required to carry out maintenance and ensure serviceability.
• Ensure adherence to the safety standards and procedures relevant to the work of the Section.

SALARY PACKAGE

Salary negotiable based on educational qualification and experience.
